Mat Hoffman’s Pro BMX 2 on Game Boy Advance adapts the freestyle BMX series to Nintendo’s handheld with a scaled-down take on the console game. You ride through park and street environments hunting ramps, rails and gaps, using directional inputs and buttons to perform air tricks, grinds and lip tricks, then linking them into combos for higher scores. Levels are structured around objective lists and score targets that you work through to open up new areas, with repeated runs used to learn each layout and refine your lines. A roster of professional riders, headed by Mat Hoffman, is available to choose between. Sessions are time-limited runs, making the game well suited to short bursts of handheld play.
