MLB 98 – PS1 Game

MLB 98 is a baseball game for the original PlayStation featuring Major League teams and players in 3D polygonal stadiums. You control pitching by selecting pitch types and aiming location, then switch to the plate to time swings against the incoming ball. Fielding puts you in charge of throws and relays, while baserunning lets you push for extra bases or attempt steals. Exhibition games sit alongside longer play through a season and playoffs, plus home run hitting for a quicker session. Commentary, crowd noise and replay cameras frame the action in a television style typical of the era’s sports releases. A second player can take the opposing team for local head-to-head games, and difficulty settings adjust the level of challenge.
