Mortal Kombat 4 – Nintendo 64 Game

Mortal Kombat 4 marks the series’ move from digitized actors to 3D polygonal characters, while keeping combat on a two-dimensional plane. Fighters can sidestep into the background or foreground, and each character can pick up a weapon during a match, swinging it until it is knocked loose. Special moves, combos and Fatalities return, and some stages include hazards or death traps. The roster combines familiar names such as Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Liu Kang and Sonya Blade with characters introduced here. Modes include a single-player ladder against the CPU, two-player versus and practice options. The Nintendo 64 release uses the console’s controller layout and includes the game’s cinematic endings for each fighter as you complete the arcade run.
