Motocross Maniacs – Gameboy Game

Motocross Maniacs is a side-scrolling motorcycle game for the Game Boy. Rather than a behind-the-rider view, you see your bike from the side as it races left to right through courses filled with ramps, loops, tunnels and obstacles. Each stage runs against a time limit, so you need to keep your speed up, land jumps cleanly and avoid the crashes that cost precious seconds. A turbo boost is available in limited supply and can be used to clear large gaps or make it around loops. Control comes down to acceleration, braking and adjusting the bike’s angle in mid-air so you touch down on both wheels. The monochrome presentation keeps the action readable, and the short stage lengths suit the handheld format and encourage repeated attempts at better times.
