A licensed NASCAR racing game for PlayStation 2, using real drivers, teams and circuits. You run practice and qualifying before races on ovals and road courses, with caution periods, pit stops for fuel and tyres, and adjustable race lengths. Difficulty and assist settings determine how much the car slides and how strictly damage and tyre wear are modelled, while setup screens let you change items such as gearing and suspension. Modes include single races, season or championship play and multiplayer on one console. Drafting matters in the large fields, since tucking in behind another car builds speed for a pass. The presentation is styled after television coverage, with commentary, replay cameras and licensed car and sponsor liveries.
