NBA 06 – PS2 Game

NBA 06 is a licensed professional basketball game for the PlayStation 2, part of Sony’s NBA series. It includes the league’s real teams, players and arenas, with standard five-on-five play under NBA rules. Modes cover quick exhibition games, a full regular season with playoffs, and longer-term franchise play involving trades and roster management. Controls handle dribbling, passing, post moves, jump shots and dunks, with play-calling on offense and pressure or double-team options on defense. Difficulty sliders and quarter lengths can be adjusted for shorter or more demanding games. Presentation follows a television broadcast style, with commentary, replays, crowd noise and statistical overlays between stoppages. Up to four players can share the console for multiplayer games using the PlayStation 2’s controller ports.
