NBA 2K3 on Nintendo GameCube is a five-on-five basketball simulation using licensed NBA teams, players and arenas. Games follow standard rules with adjustable quarter length, difficulty and gameplay sliders, and you control shooting, passing, dribbling, post moves and defensive assignments while calling plays during possessions. Modes cover single games, season and playoff play, and team management over a longer period, along with practice options. Presentation is styled after a television broadcast, with commentary, replays and arena crowd noise between plays. Multiple players can share one console to compete against each other or play together on the same team.
