NBA Courtside 2002 – Gamecube Game

NBA Courtside 2002 is a licensed five-on-five basketball game for the Nintendo GameCube, continuing the Courtside series that began on Nintendo 64. It uses NBA teams and players in full-court simulation-style play, with standard shooting, passing and defensive controls mapped to the GameCube pad. Alongside single games you can play through longer season and playoff structures, and multiplayer lets several players share the console for head-to-head or co-operative games. Presentation follows the sports-broadcast conventions of the period, with commentary and arena crowd audio over televised-style camera angles. Play sits between arcade accessibility and simulation depth: plays and player attributes matter, but the controls are straightforward enough to pick up quickly for a pickup game with friends.
