NBA Live 2008 – PS2 Game

NBA Live 2008 on PlayStation 2 is an entry in EA Sports’ long-running licensed basketball series. You control NBA teams in five-on-five games, calling plays, running the pick and roll, posting up, and defending with steals, blocks, and help rotations. Alongside single exhibition games, the game includes season and playoff play with roster moves and trades, plus practice and shootout-style diversions typical of the series. Presentation uses a broadcast style, with commentary, crowd audio, replays, and player likenesses for the licensed rosters. Two players can compete on the same console, either against each other or cooperatively on the same team. As a late PlayStation 2 sports release, it offers a straightforward version of the series’ basketball on hardware many households still had at the time.
