NBA Live 98 – PS1 Game

NBA Live 98 is the PlayStation installment of EA Sports’ basketball series, presented with 3D polygonal players on a textured court and cameras that track play down the floor. You control licensed NBA teams in five-on-five games, running plays, posting up, shooting from outside, and switching defenders on the ball. Modes include exhibition games, a season with statistics tracking that runs into the playoffs, and a three-point shootout. Rosters can be edited and traded, and settings such as quarter length, fouls, and difficulty are adjustable. Broadcast-style presentation includes commentary, crowd audio, and replays after notable plays. A second controller allows two players to face off or share a team. The game covers the standard simulation basketball feature set of the series on Sony’s 32-bit hardware.
