Need for Speed – PS1 Game

Need for Speed on the PlayStation is a racing game built around exotic production cars and long point-to-point roads. You take real-world sports cars through courses divided into stages, running against a rival driver while ordinary traffic shares the road, which turns overtaking into a matter of timing and lane choice. Police cars patrol some routes and will pursue you if you speed past them, ending your run if you are pulled over. Alongside the point-to-point events there are closed circuits and a tournament structure that unlocks further content as you win. Each car comes with information screens and video presenting its specifications, reflecting the series’ early focus on automotive detail. Cockpit and chase camera views are available, and a two-player split-screen mode lets you race head-to-head.
