Need for Speed High Stakes – PS1 Game

Need for Speed: High Stakes is a racing game built around licensed sports and exotic cars driven on closed road courses. Alongside standard single races and time trials, it includes a career-style Tournament mode where prize money is used to buy new cars and pay for repairs, so crash damage carries a running cost and affects how your car performs. Hot Pursuit races put police cruisers on the track, deploying roadblocks and spike strips and calling for backup, and you can also take the police role and bring speeding racers to a stop yourself. The High Stakes mode gives the game its name: the winner of a head-to-head race takes the loser’s car. Split-screen play is supported for two players on one console.
