NES Open Tournament Golf – NES Game

NES Open Tournament Golf is a golf game for the Nintendo Entertainment System starring Mario as the golfer, with Luigi acting as caddy and offering advice on club selection. Play uses an overhead view of each hole with a swing meter for power and controls for adjusting aim, spin and shot shape, while wind and terrain affect where the ball lands. You can play stroke play rounds, match play against a computer opponent, or tournament competition where prize money accumulates as you progress. Multiple courses are available in different settings, each with its own hazards, bunkers and green contours. A second player can join for head-to-head rounds. Presentation is bright and cartoon-styled, with Mushroom Kingdom characters appearing around an otherwise straightforward golf simulation.
