New Play Control

New Play Control: Mario Power Tennis brings the GameCube tennis game to the Wii with motion controls, so you swing the Wii Remote to hit the ball rather than pressing buttons. Characters from the Mario series compete in singles and doubles matches, each with a Power Shot for returning distant balls and an offensive shot that can disrupt an opponent. Courts are themed around Mario settings, and some include hazards and moving obstacles that change how rallies play out. Alongside standard tournament play there are minigame-style modes that use tennis mechanics for other goals. Matches support multiple players on one console, and the roster covers a spread of characters with different speed and power balances.
