NFL 2K is an American football simulation for the Sega Dreamcast, played with licensed NFL teams, stadiums and players. You call plays from a team’s offensive and defensive playbooks, then take direct control on the field for passing, running, tackling and kicking. Modes cover single exhibition games, playoff runs and a full season, with multiplayer matches available on one console. Presentation is built around a televised broadcast style, with commentary, replays and camera work between plays. Player models and stadium detail were a focus of the Dreamcast version, and animation is used to show tackles, catches and collisions. Difficulty settings and adjustable rules let you tune how simulation-heavy or forgiving a game feels.
