NFL Blitz – Nintendo 64 Game

NFL Blitz is the console version of the arcade football game, built around speed and contact rather than realistic simulation. Squads are smaller than in standard football, the field is short, and you need considerably more yardage than usual for a first down, so passing deep is often the smart choice. A turbo button gives bursts of extra speed for runners and defenders, late hits are part of the game, and a hot streak can put a player “on fire” with boosted performance. Play selection uses a small set of icons and you can call an audible at the line. The Nintendo 64 release supports multiple players on one console, making pass-and-play matchups a central part of it, alongside single games and a season mode against the computer.
