NFL Blitz – PS1 Game

NFL Blitz on PlayStation adapts the arcade football game for home play, keeping the emphasis on quick drives and hard hits instead of realistic simulation. Rosters on the field are smaller than in standard football, first downs require a longer gain, and tackling continues after the whistle, which pushes you toward deep passes and turbo-fueled runs. Holding turbo gives a short speed boost on either side of the ball, and players who string together big plays can catch fire for a temporary edge. Play calling uses a brief icon-based menu with audibles at the line. Along with exhibition games you get a season mode and multiplayer for head-to-head matches, and the presentation leans on loud commentary and heavy stadium sound.
