NFL Blitz 2001 – PS1 Game

NFL Blitz 2001 keeps the arcade football formula on PlayStation: small squads, a shortened field, long first-down distances and tackling that continues after the whistle. Drives are short and high-scoring, with deep passes and turbo-boosted runs doing most of the work. You call plays from a compact icon menu, can audible at the line, and manage a turbo meter that drains as you use it. Players on a run of big plays can go on fire for a temporary boost. NFL teams, players and stadiums are included, presented with heavy hit animations and constant commentary. Modes cover exhibition games, season-style play and multiplayer matches on one console, so the game works both as a solo run through a schedule and as a quick pick-up-and-play option for two people.
