NFL Street is an arcade-style football game built around small-sided games played on outdoor lots and city fields rather than in stadiums. Teams are cut down from full squads, there are no penalties or field-goal kicking in the traditional sense, and walls and other surroundings are part of the field. You chain jukes, spins, stiff-arms and lateral tricks together to build a meter that unlocks a powered-up Gamebreaker play, and defenders can knock ball carriers down with big hits. Alongside quick pick-up games with licensed NFL players, a career-style mode has you creating a team, earning points and upgrading your players’ attributes as you take on tougher opponents. Local multiplayer supports head-to-head matches. The emphasis throughout is on style, trick moves and high scoring rather than realistic simulation.
