NHL 09 – PS2 Game

NHL 09 on PlayStation 2 is an installment in EA Sports’ hockey series, featuring licensed NHL teams, players and arenas. Games are played five-on-five, with skating, passing, dekes, body checks and shooting handled from the controller while control shifts between teammates as the puck moves. Officials call penalties, goaltenders are simulated, and difficulty and gameplay settings let you adjust how arcade-like or simulation-heavy the pace feels. Along with exhibition matches you can play through a season and the playoffs with a club of your choice, adjusting lines and personnel between games. Others can join locally for cooperative or head-to-head play. Presentation follows the series pattern of television-style cameras, replays, commentary and arena atmosphere around each face-off.
