NHL 2003 – PS2 Game

The PlayStation 2 version of NHL 2003, part of EA Sports’ annual hockey series. You take control of licensed NHL clubs and players, skating full matches with line changes, checking, dekes and shot types that range from wristers to slap shots, and switching to the goaltender when play crowds the crease. Sliders and difficulty options let you set how tightly the referees call penalties and how fast the game flows. Beyond exhibition games there are season play with league standings and statistics, playoff brackets ending in the Stanley Cup, and roster management including trades and lineup edits. Commentary, arena crowd audio and a licensed soundtrack accompany play. Two players can compete or team up locally using the PS2’s controller ports.
