Ni Hao, Kai-lan

Ni Hao, Kai-lan: Super Game Day is a PlayStation 2 game for young children based on the Nick Jr. series. You join Kai-lan and her friends Rintoo, Tolee and Hoho in a set of simple activities and mini-games built around a day of playful competition. Gameplay leans on easy, repeatable actions with clear on-screen prompts, so it can be played by children still learning controller basics, and the show’s habit of pausing to name feelings and solve small disagreements carries over into the presentation. Mandarin words and phrases appear throughout, as they do in the television series, with characters repeating them for the player. Voices and art style match the show, and adults can play along with a second controller in supported activities.
