Nicktoons Racing – Gameboy Color Game

Nicktoons Racing is a kart-style racing game for the Game Boy Color starring characters from Nickelodeon’s animated series. You choose a racer and compete on tracks themed after the cartoons, using pickups and power-ups to slow rivals or gain speed while steering through bends, jumps and shortcuts. The handheld presentation keeps the view simple and readable on the Game Boy Color screen, with sprite-based characters and a bright cartoon look. Races can be run individually or as part of a series where finishing positions accumulate toward an overall result, and difficulty settings let younger players work up to faster fields. Controls are limited to steering, accelerating and using items, so it is easy to pick up for short sessions. A straightforward portable racer aimed at fans of the shows.
