Nightmare Before Christmas

Oogie’s Revenge is an action game set after the events of Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. You play as Jack Skellington, who returns to Halloween Town to find Oogie Boogie back in power. Combat uses Jack’s Soul Robber, a stretching whip-like weapon, along with combo attacks and unlockable costumes that grant different abilities such as fire and light-based attacks. Stages move through locations from the film and its surrounding holiday worlds, mixing fighting against groups of enemies with platforming and light puzzle sections. Boss encounters and some story beats are handled through rhythm sequences, where you match button prompts to a musical track. Progress unlocks new moves and upgrades for Jack’s abilities. The presentation draws on the film’s character designs, voice work and musical themes.
