Nightmare Creatures – Nintendo 64 Game

Nightmare Creatures is a third-person action game set in a gothic version of Victorian London overrun by monsters created by a secret society. You choose between two playable characters and fight through fog-bound streets, graveyards and buildings, using melee weapons and a limited supply of items and projectiles against the creatures you meet. Combat centres on timed swings, blocking and dodging rather than gunplay, and beheading or dismembering enemies is part of the system. An adrenaline meter drains as you play and is replenished by killing monsters or using medicine, so fighting is effectively mandatory to stay alive. Levels are laid out as routes through the city with keys, gates and boss encounters along the way. This is the Nintendo 64 version, played from a cartridge.
