A side-scrolling action platformer for the Sega Genesis with a cartoon comedy presentation. You play Normy, a laid-back slacker who sets out after his beach companions are carried off by aliens. Levels are viewed from the side as you run, jump and shoot your way past enemies and hazards, collecting items along the way, with the setting shifting between different environments and time periods rather than staying on the beach. Enemies and bosses are drawn in an exaggerated, gag-oriented style that matches the game’s humour, and animation and sound effects lean into the joke. Controls follow the usual Genesis three-button layout for movement, jumping and attacking, and progress is a matter of working through each stage to its end point.
