Oddworld Adventures 2 – Gameboy Color Game

Oddworld Adventures 2 is a Game Boy Color title that adapts the Oddworld series’ puzzle-platform style to Nintendo’s handheld. You control Abe, the Mudokon from the console games, moving through side-scrolling industrial environments filled with hazards and hostile guards. As in the larger games, Abe cannot fight directly in most situations, so you rely on careful movement, sneaking, running and using the environment. Abe can call out to other Mudokons and lead them to escape points, and his chanting ability lets him take control of enemies to clear paths. Levels are built around trial and error, with instant death traps that reward learning patterns and routes. The presentation shrinks the series’ dark, industrial world down to the Game Boy Color’s screen and colour palette.
