Off-World Interceptor Extreme – PS1 Game

Off-World Interceptor Extreme is a vehicular action game in which you drive an armoured off-road vehicle across alien planets as a bounty hunter. Play mixes racing and combat: you cross open, hilly terrain toward objectives while shooting at hostile vehicles and creatures, taking large jumps and collecting items along the way. The vehicle can fire weapons and is upgraded with money earned from completed jobs, so successful runs feed into a stronger loadout for later missions. Terrain is uneven and the physics allow long airborne stretches, which makes landing control part of the challenge. Between missions the game uses live-action and comic-styled sequences to frame the bounty-hunting premise. This PlayStation release is a version of the game that also appeared on other consoles of the era.
