Onimusha Tactics – GBA Game

Onimusha Tactics moves the Onimusha series from real-time action to turn-based strategy on the Game Boy Advance. Battles play out on grid-based maps where you position your party, manage facing and terrain, and take turns attacking demons drawn from the series’ feudal Japan setting. Characters gain experience and new abilities as they fight, and equipment and orbs can be assigned to shape their strengths between engagements. The story is told through mission briefings and dialogue scenes between fights, with new allies joining your roster as it progresses. Maps are viewed from an overhead angle, and combat resolves through short animated attack sequences. If you like tactical role-playing games where preparation and unit placement matter more than reflexes, this is a handheld take on that formula wrapped in Onimusha’s demons-and-samurai world.
