Parasite Eve 2 – PS1 Game

A sequel that shifts Aya Brea’s story to the American southwest and California, where she now works with a government unit investigating creature outbreaks. The presentation leans further toward survival horror: you explore pre-rendered environments in third person with fixed camera angles, aiming and firing in real time rather than through a battle gauge. Ammunition, healing items and weapon choices matter, and you earn bonus points from combat that can be spent on equipment, supplies and upgrades between areas. Aya also uses parasite energy abilities for offence, defence and support, drawing on a separate gauge. Locations include a desert town, an underground facility and other areas connected by story sequences, and the game has multiple endings depending on how you play. Puzzles and item hunting break up the encounters.
