Psycho Fox – Sega Master System Game

Psycho Fox is a side-scrolling platformer for the Sega Master System in which you run, jump and explore stages built from multiple routes, hidden areas and breakable blocks. Your basic attack is a punch, and you also carry a bird companion that can be thrown forward as a projectile and returns to you. Shrines scattered through the levels let you transform between animal forms with different traits, each favouring a different mix of jump height, weight and strength, so switching forms changes how you handle certain obstacles and enemies. Levels contain concealed passages and shortcuts that reward searching rather than simply running to the exit, and boss encounters cap off areas. Presentation is bright and cartoon-styled, with a mix of grassland, cave and industrial-looking backdrops.
