Quarterback Attack with Mike Ditka – Sega Saturn Game

Quarterback Attack with Mike Ditka is an American football game for the Sega Saturn that leans heavily on full-motion video presentation, with Ditka appearing on screen in a coaching and commentary role. Play is framed from a quarterback-centred perspective: you pick from a playbook, read the defence and throw or hand off, with the presentation styled after a television broadcast rather than the top-down or side-on views used by many football titles of the era. Menus cover team selection and exhibition play. The emphasis is on the passing game and play calling rather than on deep franchise management. If you are interested in mid-1990s attempts to blend video footage with sports gameplay, this is one example of that approach on Sega’s 32-bit console.
