Raiden III – PS2 Game

Raiden III is a vertically scrolling shoot-’em-up for the PlayStation 2 and part of the long-running Raiden series. You pilot a fighter over industrial, urban and mechanical landscapes, weaving between enemy formations and bullet patterns while working toward a large boss at the end of each stage. Weapon pickups switch your main gun between spread and concentrated fire, and secondary options include homing and laser-type sub-weapons plus bombs held in reserve for emergencies. Difficulty comes from dense enemy fire and tight spaces, with extra lives earned through scoring. The game supports simultaneous two-player co-operative play on one screen, and includes score attack and stage-select style options alongside the main run, with an online-free leaderboard-style scoring focus. Presentation uses 3D backgrounds beneath the traditional top-down shooting perspective.
