Rainbow Six – PS1 Game

The PlayStation version of the tactical squad shooter. You take command of an international counter-terrorist unit, working through missions such as hostage rescue, bomb defusal and clearing occupied buildings. Preparation is part of the game: you select operatives, arm them and equip gear before deploying, then play in first person while the rest of your team executes the plan. Combat is deliberate and lethal, with operatives dying from very little damage, so peeking through doorways, watching angles and advancing slowly matter more than fast aiming. Losing team members or hostages can end a mission outright, encouraging repeated attempts with different approaches. Briefings tie the individual operations into an ongoing storyline about a terrorist threat. It plays as a slow, planning-driven shooter rather than an arcade action game.
