Rayman – Sega Saturn Game

The Saturn version of Rayman is a 2D side-scrolling platformer starring a hero with no arms or legs, whose hands and feet hover freely. Rayman attacks by throwing his fist, uses his hair as a helicopter to glide down slowly, and grabs onto rings and ledges to cross gaps. Each level hides caged Electoons that you can free by finding them, encouraging exploration off the main path. Stages are drawn in a hand-painted cartoon style with multiple scrolling background layers, and worlds are built around themes including jungles, caves and musical instruments. Progression gradually grants Rayman new moves that open up earlier areas and later challenges. Boss fights close out each world, and the platforming asks for careful timing and precise landings.
