Ridge Racer 2 – PSP Game

Ridge Racer 2 brings Namco’s arcade-style drift racing to the PSP. You pick a car and slide through corners by tapping the brake to break traction, then hold the drift with the analog nub while building nitrous to spend on straights. The lineup of courses draws on layouts from across the Ridge Racer series, with alternate routes and reversed variants, and the machines range from grippy grand-prix style cars to loose, drift-heavy models. Single-player play is organised into tours and time-attack style events that unlock further cars and tracks, and there is also wireless multiplayer for racing against other PSP owners. The presentation leans on bright coastal and city scenery, a licensed-feeling electronic soundtrack, and quick restarts suited to short handheld sessions.
