Rise 2 Resurrection – PS1 Game

Rise 2: Resurrection is a one-on-one fighting game for PlayStation, and a sequel to Rise of the Robots. Combatants are mechanical, built from pre-rendered 3D artwork animated in a 2D fighting plane, and matches play out as best-of rounds where you close distance, throw punches and kicks, block and look for openings to chain attacks together. The roster is made up of assorted robot designs with different reach, speed and special moves, and there is a single-player path through successive opponents as well as head-to-head play for two players. Presentation emphasises the metallic character models and industrial arena backdrops, and the soundtrack features contributions in an industrial rock vein. Controls follow standard fighting-game conventions, with directional inputs combined with attack buttons for special techniques.
