Rocky – Sega Master System Game

A boxing game for the Sega Master System based on the Rocky films. Fights are shown from a behind-and-above view of the ring, with your boxer in the foreground, and you throw high and low punches to the head and body while blocking and moving to avoid incoming shots. Landing hits drains an opponent’s energy and can lead to knockdowns, with bouts decided by knockout or by lasting through the rounds. You take the role of Rocky and work through opponents from the movies, and training between fights lets you improve your fighter before the next bout. Two players can also face each other. Controls are limited to the Master System’s two buttons and the directional pad, keeping the action simple and quick to pick up.
