Samurai Shodown V – Xbox Game

Samurai Shodown V is a weapon-based one-on-one fighting game in SNK’s long-running series, brought to the original Xbox from its 2D arcade roots. You pick a fighter from a large roster of swordsmen, ninja and other armed combatants, then duel across best-of-three rounds on hand-drawn stages. Matches revolve around careful spacing and timing: heavy slashes can end a round quickly, blades clash when strikes meet, and disarming an opponent leaves them scrambling for their weapon. A rage meter fills as you take damage and can be spent to boost your attack power or unleash a decisive special move. Modes include single-player arcade play, versus matches against a second player, practice and score-based options. Sprite artwork, feudal Japanese settings and pronounced sound effects give the fights their character.
