Saturday Night Slam Masters – Sega Genesis Game

Saturday Night Slam Masters is Capcom’s wrestling fighting game, adapted for the Sega Genesis from the arcade original. Rather than a simulation, it plays like a fighting game in a ring: you move around a squared circle, throw strikes, grapple, execute throws and slams, and use the ropes and turnbuckles as part of your offence. The roster of exaggerated wrestlers includes Mike Haggar of Final Fight fame, each with their own signature moves and finishers. Single matches, tag-style team bouts and a single-player title chase give you different ways to play, and a second player can join for head-to-head matches. Bold character art, chunky sprites and loud impact sounds carry the arcade presentation over to the console, and matches are decided by pinfalls and knockouts.
