Sega Superstars Tennis is a tennis game for the PlayStation 2 played with characters drawn from across Sega’s games. Matches use accessible tennis controls, with topspin, slice and lob shots, plus a superstar move for each character that triggers a game-altering effect once a meter is filled. Courts are themed after Sega franchises, changing the backdrop and details of each match. Alongside singles and doubles exhibition play, there is a mission-based mode that mixes tennis matches with minigames and challenges based on the same Sega themes, unlocking additional characters, courts and content as you complete objectives. Local multiplayer is supported for playing with or against others. Tournament and quick-match options round out the single-player offerings.
