Shadow of the Colossus – PS2 Game

Shadow of the Colossus is an action-adventure game for PlayStation 2 in which you play as a young man who rides into a forbidden land on horseback to bring a girl back to life. There are no towns, side quests or ordinary enemies. Instead, the land is a large, mostly empty expanse that you cross on your horse Agro, using a sword’s reflected light to point you toward each of the sixteen colossi you must find and defeat. Every colossus is both an opponent and a climbing puzzle: you grip fur and ledges while managing a grip meter, work your way up a moving body, and drive your sword into marked weak points. A bow and simple sword combat round out your options. Riding, climbing and quiet exploration make up most of the playtime between battles.
