Shamu’s Deep Sea Adventures – PS2 Game

Shamu’s Deep Sea Adventures is a PlayStation 2 action game carrying the SeaWorld license, in which you play as Shamu the killer whale. You swim through 3D underwater environments, moving in all directions through open water rather than running and jumping along the ground. Stages have you exploring reefs and ocean areas, collecting items, dodging hazards and dealing with other sea creatures, with objectives spelled out simply as you go. The camera follows Shamu as you dive, surface and manoeuvre through the levels, and the marine setting is presented in a bright, cartoon-styled way. It is built with younger players in mind, keeping controls and goals uncomplicated, and the ocean theming ties back to the aquatic-park brand the game is based on.
