Shaq Fu – Sega Genesis Game

Shaq Fu is a one-on-one fighting game built around basketball player Shaquille O’Neal. The story sends Shaq from a dojo into another dimension called the Second World, where he takes on a cast of fantasy and monster-themed opponents. Play follows standard fighting game conventions of the era: a round-based single match, blocking, throws, and special moves entered with directional motions and attack buttons. Characters are drawn in a stylised, cartoon-influenced look, with backgrounds set across the Second World’s various locations. Modes include a single-player story path that strings fights together with brief plot scenes, plus head-to-head play against a second player using two controllers. Each of the game’s opponents is also selectable for versus matches on the Sega Genesis.
