Shin Megami Tensei

A role-playing game that splits its time between everyday high school life and dungeon crawling. You play a transfer student who joins a group of classmates able to act during the Dark Hour, a hidden period between one day and the next, when a tower called Tartarus appears in place of their school. Party members summon Personas using devices called Evokers, and battles are turn-based, built around finding and exploiting enemy weaknesses to knock foes down and earn extra attacks. Outside of combat, the game runs on a calendar: you attend class, take exams, spend time with friends and build Social Links, and those bonds strengthen the Personas you fuse. Time management matters, since each day offers limited opportunities before story events arrive on fixed dates.
