Shinobi – PS2 Game

A 3D action game for PlayStation 2 that moves the Shinobi series into full polygonal environments. You play as Hotsuma, a ninja wielding the cursed blade Akujiki, which drains the life of its owner unless it is regularly fed with kills. That mechanic drives the combat: chaining kills together quickly triggers stylish finishing strikes that dispatch groups of enemies at once, while hesitating costs you health. Alongside sword combat you throw shuriken, dash, double jump and wall-run through city rooftops, ruins and supernatural areas, with boss fights closing out stages. Hotsuma’s long scarf trails behind him as a visual signature. The game is built around tight, fast movement and demanding encounters that expect you to keep pressing forward rather than fight defensively.
