Shrek Extra Large – Gamecube Game

Shrek Extra Large is a 3D platformer for the Nintendo GameCube featuring the DreamWorks ogre. You guide Shrek through fairy-tale environments, taking on objectives handed to you by the characters you meet, fighting off enemies with physical attacks and the ogre’s less refined talents, and collecting items scattered around each area. Levels are self-contained and built around exploring, reaching awkward spots and completing tasks before moving on, with a third-person camera following Shrek as you run and jump. The presentation uses the swamp-and-storybook look of the films, with exaggerated villagers, creatures and set pieces. It is a family-oriented platformer with simple controls, related to the earlier Shrek game released on other hardware.
