Slam n Jam 96 – Sega Saturn Game

Slam ‘N Jam ’96 is a five-on-five basketball game for the Sega Saturn. Play uses a full court with standard basketball rules, giving you control of passing, shooting, dunking, rebounding and defensive positioning, with plays and substitutions handled from menus between possessions. The presentation follows a televised broadcast style, with commentary over the action and on-screen statistics tracking scoring and fouls. Options let you set quarter length and difficulty, and multiplayer lets a second player take the opposing side on the same console. As with other mid-1990s basketball titles, the emphasis sits between arcade pacing and simulation detail: matches move quickly, but shot selection, player fatigue and defensive pressure still influence results. It is a straightforward pick for anyone building out a Saturn sports collection alongside the console’s football and hockey releases.
