Sonic Unleashed – PS2 Game

Sonic Unleashed on PlayStation 2 splits play between two styles. Daytime stages put Sonic in fast forward-running and side-scrolling platforming, using boost, drifting and quick-step moves to hold speed through obstacle courses. At night Sonic becomes the Werehog, a slower and stronger form that fights groups of enemies with punch combos and stretching arms, and uses those arms to swing and climb through more deliberate platforming and puzzle sections. Between stages you visit hub areas modeled on different regions of the world, talking to residents and taking on optional tasks. Sonic travels with Chip, a companion who accompanies him after the planet is broken apart by Dr. Eggman. Experience earned in stages upgrades abilities for both forms. This version was built separately from the versions released on newer consoles.
