South Park – PS1 Game

This PlayStation release brings the South Park first-person shooter to Sony’s console. You take control of the boys and defend the town from a series of invading threats, working through levels set around South Park’s streets, woods and buildings. Weapons are drawn from the show’s absurd humour rather than realistic firearms, and each stage involves clearing enemies, surviving waves and facing off against larger bosses. The visuals recreate the series’ flat construction-paper look in 3D, and the characters speak with dialogue and voice work in the style of the show. A split-screen multiplayer mode lets several players fight each other using the same characters and weapon set found in the single-player campaign.
